Senior, 21 years old Major: Political Science & History Joined Fall 2009 Knowledgeable Kappa Line “Jude” #3 Though academics are the utmost importance to me, I knew I also wanted to make my college years meaningful in other ways. Finding an organization that highlighted scholarship and service and at the same time emphasized the importance of heritage, seemed like the perfect fit for me, and that is exactly what SLA has to offer.
Senior, 22 years old Major: Mathematical Sciences Joined Spring 2011 Noble Nu Line "Divina" #2 I transferred to UTD from El Centro College Fall 2010 and wanted to be more involved in school activities. I was first exposed to SLA at a transfer fair and immediately drawn to it. Having no previous knowledge about sororities, I investigated further and decided to rush the following semester. I have found that my involvement with SLA has helped me open up in many ways.
Senior, 21 years old Major: Accounting Joined Fall 2009 Krunk Kappa Line "Xing" #5 The instant that I looked through SLA's page I knew this was the organization I wanted to join. I was looking for an organization that would help me get further in life by helping out the community together and being able to make a difference together as sisters. Being a sister has helped me with all that and more. It has been the best decision I've ever made.
Senior, 21 years old Majors: Chemistry and Neuroscience Joined Fall 2011 Exquisite Xi Line "Pasionada" #4 I joined in order to become more involved on campus as well as keep more in touch with my culture.
Sophomore, 19 years old Major: Psychology Minor: Criminology Joined SLA Spring 2012 Omnicious Omicron Line "Ilana" #4 I joined SLA to find a sisterhood and support system. I also wanted to be more involved with my community and school. The bond made with my sisters is irreplaceable.
Junior, 19 years old Majors: Emerging Media and Communication & Management Information Systems Joined SLA Fall 2011 Exquisite Xi Line "Kalama" #3 I joined SLA not only because I wanted to be more involved with UTD and with my culture but because I believed that SLA held great values and endless lifetime bonds. I don't regret joining one bit.

Joined Fall 2011 Exquisite Xi Line #2 "Amalea" I transferred from Brookhaven Community College in Spring 2011 and I wanted to be more involved on campus. I am very lucky to have been introduced to SLA by one of our sisters, I have met many amazing ladies in SLA.

Junior, 20 years old Majors: Neuroscience and Biology Joined Fall 2010 Magnificent Mu Line "Alexandrine" #2 I joined SLA because I wanted to surround myself with strong, empowered Latina women. My experience with SLA has led me to meet a group of women who not only share a cultural background with me, but have similar future goals as me. It's put me in close contact with a support system I probably never would have met otherwise. I'm humbled to be part of such an extraordinary sisterhood.
